They found his body?
Or have they called off the search.I saw the story on this last night on the news, he’s considered a hero. It’s amazing how some people can survive against the worst odds, since his family made it out alright.
December 6, 2006 at 11:05 pm #154966Someguy03MemberThey found him, but he did not make it. Click on the picture, it will take you to CNET where you will find the article.

Thanks.December 6, 2006 at 11:27 pm #154973PolarBearNPRParticipantOh my, what a tragic end. I’ve been following the story and had hoped and prayed for a different ending. :crying:
Thoughts and prayers go out to the young family. What a tragedy.
December 7, 2006 at 12:28 am #154963Jeff HesterKeymasterThat is sad. It’s ironic that his family, who stayed in the car, survived. If he had done the same, it would’ve been a much different ending.
December 7, 2006 at 1:07 am #154972BShink21MemberAlso Jeff if James would have stayed in the car, it would have taken longer to find the family. The authorities only had a hunch to look in that area because his attempt to make a call registered on distant cell phone tower. The ending was probably going to bad either way, quite tragic.

December 7, 2006 at 1:36 pm #154964OreoMemberI was so upset when we saw this on TV last night…I was truly hoping they would find him. He had so many odds against him…he is a true hero, he saved his wife and little girls.
December 10, 2006 at 4:56 am #154968MrOatsMember-Just read the article… He truly was a hero to travel those 8 miles. It’s very tragic that he died… =(
December 10, 2006 at 9:48 pm #154965OreoMemberHe actually traveled twice that…they re-evaluated…he did more than most people half his age could do. It also turns out the road they tuned onto was a logging road that was supposed to be shut off by a gate but some one had cut it open…gut wrenching when you think about the entire situation.
