Probably one of the most funny movies I have ever seen. It is an entire movie making fun of Star Wars. Darth Vadar is a midgit called Lord Dark Helmet, The good guys space ship is a trailer, the ship that is supposed to be a Star Destroyer is like twice normal size and is horribly slow, the person who plays yoda has the movies own merchandise, instead of using the “force” they use the “schwartz,” Jabba the Hut is Pizza the Hut, and Han Solo is a cross between a man and a dog.
Plot line is: In this spoof of STAR WARS and a handful of other sci-fi flicks from the 1970s and ’80s, space-bum-for-hire Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his half-dog/half-man sidekick, Barf (John Candy), must rescue a spoiled Druish princess (Daphne Zuniga) from the evil Lord Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis) in time to pay off Pizza the Hut

I think that this was one of the best comedy movies I have ever seen. Does anyone remember the part that they made fun of the movie Alien? Ha ha ha, that was my favorite.

The long-awaited “Spaceballs: The Animated Series” is finally hitting TV. The first episode premieres September 21 on G4 TV. It even features the voices of many of the original actors. There’s a cool web site with a game and more info at bounceyourspaceballs.com.
Thanks!
