Well, if any of you are like my husband you’ve been waiting AND waiting and WAITING for “Rome Total War” to be released. I found the Demo for download here EDIT: Go to Someguy’s post below. I didn’t know this was a bad link! SORRY! What do you think of this game demo?
Do you think it will be worth the wait?
Edit:
Could it be that NO ONE has downloaded this and NO ONE has any opinions?? [:O]August 30, 2004 at 4:52 pm #73543PinoyZeroMemberWell I looked at the screenshots for this game and I heard of it on the History Channel and for my opinion I think it is worth the wait if you are interested in these kinds of games which I am… This game looks very interesting so… I would say it is worth the wait..

September 1, 2004 at 11:47 pm #73539Crazy PenguinMemberWell i’ve just downloaded the demo, and from what’s trhere it looks very good. Anyway i’m certainly going to buy teh game, and from the screenshots/previews i’ve seen it looks VERY good.
October 1, 2004 at 12:13 am #73532OreoMemberWell, the real game is out…and after one week and I can tell you that I haven’t seen my husband that much. He LOVES the game but the online play system seems to be a bit flawed…i.e. Difficult to get into the lobby to play. I know not many of you actually probably have thought about this game…but even from my point of view (an almost TOTAL non-gamer) it is actually a pretty interesting game…just wish I’d get a chance to play it!! (Oh yeah, and I’d like to see my husband more often too! [:P])
October 7, 2004 at 6:31 pm #73544arcducielParticipanthii everybody I have a problem and I wonder if someone can help, my problem is: I downloaded the rome total war game (3cds) from the internet, but it was 3 zip files ( with RAR extention ) when I came to open them, each file asks me for a password to begin the abstruction of the game files ,
so I don’t know what the password is, or how can I find it?
if anyone can help me , pleaaaaaaaaase don’t hesitateOctober 7, 2004 at 10:41 pm #73537Red DevilMemberFirst off, hacking is not permitted on these forums. Nobody is going to help you to get an illegal copy to work.
Secondly, posting the same thing twice is not going to get you help any faster, especially when the other topic you posted this in had nothing to do with Rome Total War.
Anyway, to the game. I definetly like the look of it, but theres no way this PC would ever run it. 🙁
October 7, 2004 at 11:19 pm #73540Crazy PenguinMemberWell you beat me to that Red Devil…
anyway I do have the game, and I have to say it is amazing, the gameplay is very good, gamebalance is good, and teh graphics are amazing….
now i’m going abck to crushing teh barbarian hordes under my iron sandal…
October 7, 2004 at 11:40 pm #73533OreoMemberHave any of you run into problems with online games or with people who are cheating? It seems to be a bit of a problem from what I see… Just curious if anyone else has as well.
October 8, 2004 at 12:03 am #73541Crazy PenguinMemberWell i’ve nto played a game online yet… but I think the game was largely intended to be purely single player, with the online aspect being an added bonus…
October 8, 2004 at 12:11 am #73534OreoMemberBut most of their other Total War games have been multi-player. Isn’t it odd that after all of that and all the popularity of them, they would suddenly change their format?
October 8, 2004 at 7:10 pm #73542Crazy PenguinMemberThe total war games all had multiplayer fetures yes, but there was always more focus on the single player aspect in my opinion.
However I do think that the designers should have put more effort into the multiplayer options, however a lot of the problems may be due to the fact taht you have to use gamespy to play (ithink), and gamespy has always had some problems…
<Crazy Penguin: Really has no idea what he is talking about.
October 24, 2004 at 11:30 pm #73535OreoMemberThere is currently a petition to Creative Assembly to release a patch to make RTW a better multi-player game. Many people are extremely upset with the problems when trying to play multiplayer games. To learn more you can go to http://totalwars.net Also, post some comments here about what you think in this situation. [:|]
October 25, 2004 at 4:54 am #73536Someguy03MemberSince that Demo link provided by Oreo seems to be a Torrent download, here is a normal download:
November 21, 2004 at 2:11 am #73545LLXerxesMember**bump**
I have it and II had the demo.
THe demo was a disapointment but I liked the game itself. I really didn’t like having to pay $50 but I got it anyways 🙂November 21, 2004 at 6:13 am #73538colinMemberFun game. Kind of like all those other strategy games out there, but cool nonetheless. For some reason though, all of my leaders seem to die after only a few years…anyone else have that problem?
