Hi
I use a Creative branded (but actually a Broadxent) 2103 wireless LAN access point router bridged from an Aztech DSL modem to connect on wire to my XP professional based desktop and wirelessly to my WIN 2000 pro based Compaq notebook
My problem is when I shut down Yahoo Messenger and then instantly try to log in again , or when I shut down my account and my wife logs in immediately with her id, the router crashes and I cannot get on. The router just reboots
If I shut down, wait for 5 minutes and then re-log in , there is no problem.
I tried all sorts of combinations incuding turning special apps on / turning DMZ on /going to Yahoo Messenger -> preference -> No proxy / firewall with no proxies / Use proxies /No network detection…but the router still crashes.
IF I dial in on my 56K modem or use a regular DSL modem with no router this problem does not arise… only when I run through my router
I am at the point where I want to throw the router away and get another one.
Can someone help ?

wich one do you log in with first, NB or desktop, could be a prob with the config of your WL router.win
Doesn’t seem to matter where I log in
I face the same problem on my notebook as well as my desktop
