ParticipantRecently I cleaned up my ignore list and removed some people there that I had for ages thinking that they won’t bother me anymore since its been years that they have been on ignore. After doing so I logged off for a bit and when I came back this person (I had in my ignore list which I removed) is adding me again. I clicked ignore again and the name was added in my list (I doubled checked under References) but when I logged back in it’s the same story and I checked over and over. I checked the profile but it gives me an error page. I tried it several times just to make sure it wasn’t just a simple page error.
I tried experimenting, thinking that it might be a glitch for version 7, so I got an old version 6 build 1922. The name/add request doesn’t pop up anymore when I log on but when i tried adding that id manually to my ignore list, said to check the id again because the id i entered doesn’t exist???!!!
Is anyone else experiencing this kind of problem? I really would like to go back to version 7 but what should I do with this Add Request that pops up every time I log on?
I would really appreciate any help you guys can give. Thanks!

MemberDoes the request remain to pop up, if you go a head and add this name?
If not I would try just adding it and let it stay on my list a few days then try removing it and see if the problem comes back.Sounds like another yahoo glitch to me.
Just for the heck of it, if it says it doesn’t exist, I would try and create a new email address using this name with your own password then I would delete it just to see if it helps remove the name. may not work but could be interesting if it does.

ParticipantActually I haven’t tried adding it, I was having second thoughts about adding it. Could be another trick from bots/spammers and might bombard me with pm’s which I don’t want to happen.
Maybe I’ll create that id using that same id that keeps on popping up. Thats a better option than adding 🙂 Will let you know what will happen. Thanks for the suggestions. Two head are better than one .. hahaha Cheers!

ParticipantJust an update of what happened. I finally got rid of that Add Request!!! I created an account using that id and deleted it. Finally it all stopped.
However I also did update my yahoo to the newest version (7.5 build 814). I was using the version 7 build 120 and beta yahoo with voice when that Add Request kept popping up. So I guess those 2 have lots of bugs in it.
Thanks again Will for the help. 😀

Memberactually this is part of a program that send a ton of add requests to you and they are still sitting there waiting for you to accept or deny. It will not let you ignore this person until all those packets have been answered. Once they are answered you can go back and put that person on ignroe again.

I don’t think so… i think it probably was just a yahoo bug since the id never existed.

ParticipantYes it was a MAJOR bug for version 7 which I’m so glad to be over and just move on to a higher version. I was using version 7 and I kept ignoring that id and even tried manually adding that id to the ignore list and it appeared in my list but when I tried logging in again its back to adding me. A very irritating bug. I kept checking that profile and it always gave me an error page meaning it didnt even exist in the first place. Geez anyway, I’m over it! wooo hooo 😀
