MemberI have saved some doodle images using ‘print’ and ‘save as file’. I can find the files later, but windows doesn’t recognize the file type and doesn’t open them.
yahoo’s helpers can’t help
The images are important to me because they’re from my fiance’-to-be who lives 2500 miles away right now, so any help is appreciated big time!Jon

MemberI believe this is the extension of the files:
.ŸÄAŸ
I get this when windows tells me it can’t identify them, and gives me the option to click a link for help from the internet.
I haven’t had success trying to open the files with any of the programs i have.
I’d be appreciative to be able to mail you a file, I’ll have to send it as anattachment which the email here won’t allow. I emailed you my yahoo email so I can do this..Jon

MemberWhat program are you doodling with? Some picture programs save their files as their own extension but still dont give windows the abiltiy to identify it as anything more than a file with a unfamiliar ext. with no program to open it.

Try one of these:
1) go into the IMVironment doodle program and go to “open” (might be file –> Open), find the file and open it.
2) Navigate to the file location using windows explorer. Right-click –> Open or Open with…
3) select IMVironment doodle, or click “Browse…” and find the EXE program. Then try to open it.

Memberokay, there wasn’t any “open” option
and
the closest program i could use to get to doodle was yahoo messenger itself. IMVironments are inside a ‘cache’ folder, and the doodle is an XML document. this is what i get when i click on it
F:Program FilesYahoo!Messengercacheimvironments.xmlwhen i open the files with yahoo messenger it simply gives me the main messenger window

MemberAwweeee … thats so sweet! She will love it – I know cause I have tons of doodles saved for my fince! I plan to print them out and put them in a scrape book for her along with other poems and emails I’ve sent her. 🙂
Ok – so like … to save a doodle …. press the PrtScr key – this takes a screensnapshot … then, load a graphic editing program and PASTE into a new image. You can now cut out the doodle and save it in any format you want. I like .jpg – it gives them a water-color look, or you can use .GIF or .PNG if you perfer crisp and clear.
Good Luck!
