I know that the addressbook for messenger is stored online and is accessible on multiple computers. I would like to be able to save my chat conversations and access them on any computer also. I use yahoo msngr at home and at work – I want to be able to continue the same conversations. Can this be done?

Then you could put it back onto the other machine. I’d think this would get tiresome. The instructions for where the files are stored and how to copy the archive can be found here.
I’m not sure if you can successfully specify a new location to save the archive. We’ll have to wait to see if one of the Yahoo Gurus has more information. The best solution would be if you can specify the USB drive as the default save location, then you’d just need to ensure it was plugged in every time. I know other messenger programs can do this, but I’m not so sure about Yahoo.
Hopefully we’ll get some input soon 🙂
