I’m looking forward to it – I don’t mind much the gory, what I liked in the other two was the unique scenario and the amazing plot twists.
Here’s the trailer:

As i’ve mentioned the three big horror movies that came out this Oct. were Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Grudge 2, and now Saw 3. So i’m definately going the first day this movie comes out here on Friday the 27 and i’ll come post what i thought of it! Hopefully it doesn’t disappoint me like the second Texas Chainsaw Massacre but surprises me like Grudge 2 did. :woot:

I finally got a chance to watch this movie and i loved it. This does indeed basically follow Randy’s words of a trilogy from Scream 3:
Randy in Scream 3 wrote:…Anyway, the reason I’m here is to help you so that my death will not be in vain. That my life’s work will help save some other poor soul from getting mutilated. If this killer does come back, and he’s for real, there are a few things that you gotta remember. Is this simply another sequel? Well, if it is, same rules apply. But, here’s the critical thing. If you find yourself dealing with an unexpected back-story, and a preponderance of exposition, then the sequel rules do not apply. Because you are not dealing with a sequel. You are dealing with the concluding chapter of a trilogy. That’s right. It’s a rarity in the horror field, but it does exist, and it is a force to be reckoned with. Because true trilogies are all about going back to the beginning and discovering something that wasn’t true from the get-go. Godfather, Jedi, all revealed something that we thought was true that wasn’t true. So if it is a trilogy you are dealing with, here are some super trilogy rules. One: you’ve got a killer who’s gonna be superhuman. Stabbing him won’t work. Shooting him won’t work. Basically, in the third one, you’ve gotta cryogenically freeze his head, decapitate him, or blow him up. Number two: anyone, including the main character, can die. This means you, Sid. I’m sorry. It’s the final chapter. It could be ****ing Reservoir Dogs by the time this thing is through. Number three: the past will come back to bite you in the ass. Whatever you think you know about the past, forget it. The past is not at rest! Any sins you think were committed in the past are about to break out and destroy you. (long pause) So in closing, let me say…good luck, godspeed, and for some of you, I’ll see you soon. ‘Cause the rules say some of you ain’t gonna make it. I didn’t. Not if you’re watching this tapeI liked the twists and the discovering of things we didn’t know about the past. So i wasn’t disappointed, and i won’t go more into detail because i don’t want to spoil the movie for anyone, but i just had to mention that i really liked it. 🙂

I got in with 5! 😛 And i don’t think a movie needs TONS of gore to make it all that good. This one did have some pretty gorey scenes but didn’t push it, so i liked that about it.

So yeah… 😐
October 30, 2006 at 6:59 am #153798FancyMemberI’m a huge fan of the SAW movies, but aside from the obvious blood and gore…dab or two of gratuitous nudity, perfect pre-Halloween release date, and twisted plot… LionsGate created SAW III with a 10million dollar budget and its expected to show a profit of 100 million or more just like SAW I and II. Its clear SAW IV is on their minds already, I might just have to invest a few dollar in LionsGate, they are doing something right.
December 7, 2006 at 10:02 am #153799Yautja_cetanuMemberto be honest the gore was one of the things I liked least about the film! I really loved the story line of saw 2 and the way the film slowly picks apart the brain of the main cop untill the ending.
Looking at the trailers to saw 3 I wasn’t going to see it cause I thought it would just be about the gore…
