In your opinion, what is the scariest PC game you have ever played? Just curious.
I am interested in very frightening games, and they’re fun to play, though sometimes I regret it afterwards. 😉

I played it for 10 minutes, and then didn’t want to play anymore. I found it deeply disturbing and scary. It gave me shivers that’s for sure. heh. I ended up taking it off my computer anyway because I couldn’t play without his cd and I wasn’t interested in that kind of game either.

February 15, 2005 at 2:13 pm #114662Red DevilMemberI think its going to have to be Resident Evil, one of the first survival horror games. I played the PSone version ages ago. I just remember the part near the start of the game where your walking down a corridor and then suddenly, a zombie dog jumps through the window and starts biting at your ankles. Its a scary moment as you don’t expect it at all. I don’t think it would be anywhere near as scary compared to games today, but it was great at the time.
February 15, 2005 at 7:32 pm #114659DavidParticipantDoom 3 now.
Half-Life 3 years ago (2002 baby – yeah!)
February 15, 2005 at 8:07 pm #114658OreoMemberI COMPLETELY agree with DOOM 3. It came with our video card. I wanted to see it so my husband RELUCTANTLY installed it (I had no idea what it was all about). He played for maybe an hour and said…”I’m UNINSTALLING THIS NOW!! IT’S FREAKING ME OUT!” I only saw parts of it and it was scary!
February 15, 2005 at 8:39 pm #114657Jeff HesterKeymasterOh and I meant Silent Hill 3 by the way, or 4, but 3 is supposedly scarier. I believe Doom 3 and Silent Hill have a different type of scare, while in Doom 3 you have guns and stuff that blow up and alien looking things, in Silent Hill you have distorted human figures that really look possesed and demonic and you carry a crowbar or something like that. It’s scary as hell to me. Just go http://www.gametrailers.com and look at the Silent Hill trailer. Just that itself made me shiver.

February 16, 2005 at 12:12 am #114666LLXerxesMemberfrightnening? Like shooters?
(i thought you meant ugly people)
February 16, 2005 at 12:51 am #114663AwesomeSauceParticipantI would prefer shooters.
I would love to try out Doom 3. Actually, I’ve been wanting it for a while now, but I’m not sure if my parents would let me get it (unless I walked to the store myself and bought it, they wouldn’t even notice… actually, I just might do that). Looking at the trailer on their website, it looks pretty freaky. Actually, I was talking to this kid at school about it, and he said he has a cousin who is 24 years old and he has to have someone in the room with him while he’s playing it.
I might download the demo. Though the filesize is huge.
