is there anyway to find out if two screennames belong to the same user. I have been getting some unwanted messages from 2 names and the message content is very similar. I know its not a program, its a person and i just to know if the names were registered to the same person or not
View one of their profiles, and keep the profile window open. Then go to start-run-and type in cmd
Then while in the command prompt, type netstat -a and look for numbers that have :5190 after them. so like 192.168.1.1:5190 might be one.
Write down that number, close the profile window, and repeat the process with the other screenname that you think is owned by the same person. Again, look for the 5190. This time, look to see if the two numbers before the 5190 match, if they do, its the same person.
* NOTE * make sure you close all other IMs, and profile windows because otherwise it will display their numbers as well and you wont be able to tell which one is who.
