Screennames???

Is there any way to change a buddylist so that instead of the screenname being listed it is the actual name? I thought there was a feature to do this but I cant seem to find any.

You cannont unless you are using DeadAim or AimMutation.

how do you do it with dead aim … thats what I have but am unsure of how to use it:(

You can only do it with DeadAIM 4.0 using buddy aliases. It is an option off the Edit DeadAIM options menu. You could also just right click the screenname and go to RENAME.

thanks for the help …. i have deadaim 3.2 so it doesnt work. I dont particularly like aim mutation and cant rename …. oh well, I will have just keep using my brain instead of being lazy!

You will need AImutation .8 in order to do buddy aliasing, older versions don’t have this feature.

um…yeah. If you want to change people’s sn’s on your buddy list…give http://www.pepperell.net/goodaim/default.asp a try…I believe it will work.

If you are trying to do this without entering the person’s real name manually (which I think you are), then sorry. There is no way.

What everyone here is talking about is the buddy aliasing feature in DeadAIM v4.x. This feature allows you to replace a buddy’s screen name with any text. So if you just want to know the real name of everyone on your buddy list, you’re out of luck.

you can also add a buddy comment. if you rightclick on the sn you want to add a comment to and then go to store/edit buddy comment, whenyou scroll over the name and let it sit for however many seconds it will display the buddy comment at the bottom of this list of things. i’m pretty sure this works on dead aim 3.2 or whatever you have. hope this helps some too.
