Hi one person “Jack” has a lock near his screen name on my buddy list. Under his capabillites it says security enabled.. I was wondering what this is and how to get it…
Anyone know?
Thanks…:)
As far as I know it does nothing, but if you want to get that on yours you have to download and install Middle Man.
The lock icon means that the user has encryption enabled for higher security in their IMs.
However…Daemon is correct you can get the lock by downloading middleman
If 2 people have the lock by their name, their conversation will have encrytion meaning hackers to try to read the conversation will see “hj2klhjka289a” instead of “hey” so they will not know what you guys are talking about.
Another way to get the lock (AIM encrytion) for free is by going here:
http://www.aimencrypt.com/Follow the instructions or it will not work.
