My son showed me this clip of the guy who does Mario’s voice. Sort of fun to put a face with the voice.
See Mario in person!
Enjoy.June 10, 2006 at 5:49 pm #146144Tea GrannyMemberNow that was cool. I surprised by his age, and that it was his real voice!
June 10, 2006 at 6:43 pm #146140TigerbladeParticipanti dont think that’s his real voice, he’s just gotten really good at using it. if you’re the voice of mario, you use that voice a LOT. think of the people that do the voices on the Simpsons… those aren’t their real voices, but they use them all the time.
interesting find though, PolarBear.
June 10, 2006 at 7:43 pm #146142SpikeMemberHa, that’s neat. I’ve always wanted to see the guy who did it. He does look kinda wierd, though =/
Great find, nonetheless. Rep++ =)

June 10, 2006 at 10:08 pm #146141RabidKittenParticipantMy roomate said that he looks like robin williams. I think that he looks like a raddish with white hair. My view of mario will always be tainted. Thanks *giggles*
Rep + (Because someone other than the staff needs to get some *sticks her tongue out*)
June 11, 2006 at 7:59 pm #146145PolarBearNPRParticipantGlad ya’ll liked it – sorry it’s tainted some of your view, however. It is weird to see that particular real person sound like the squat little dark-haired character we all love. Your comments are similar to the ones on the blog; although some of them were really affected :eek:. I think the color issue is just the combination of screen and camera making him look radish-ish; and several others commented on his resemblance to Robin Williams, too.
All in all, he looks like he’s enjoying his job, and who could ask for more 🙂
