See who’s online from Address Book?

Hi all,

Does anybody know if it is possible in Yahoo Messenger 11 (or any other software) to see who is online from your Address Book? Not all of the people from my address book are on my Friends list, but sometimes I do wish to see if they are online.

When I open a chat window to one of the people in my Address Book, then I get to see their online status. And when people sign in and out, then I get to see a short popup of their status change, but I wish to see it in the list.

One place I know I can use, is the messenger build into the Yahoo Mail website. There it shows the online status of all people in my Address Book. However, that version of Messenger is very buggy (I am often not receiving any messages that are sent to me when I’m using that version), so it would be great if there is a stable alternative 🙂

So in short, I am looking for a Yahoo Messenger client where I can see the online status of all my Address Book contacts…
