Okay, its a long story why I want to do this, so I am not going to tell it. Is it possible to send a message to myself and make it look like it was sent from somebody else’s screen name? Thank you so much if you would know how to do this!
Create an alternate ID by going into Login/My Profiles/Create New Profile, etc. You can create a new name without creating a entirely new account, and send your original screen name a message.
Do you think you could please go in-detail with that “browneyes078”?? Sorry, i’m just confused!!! It would make me understand it better, if you explained it step by step!..thanks!
You could also use trillain with an other id , this would mean you would have to make another yahoo name.( not really a hard project )To send your self a message step by step would be create a new name under the name you already have open a pm with out highlighting any of your freinds the to box will be empty fill in your id on the send side use the drop down arrow to change to the new name that youve made and type a message .A new im will open from the name you selected to you .also you will see the first Im so doing it to your self doesnt make much sence but thats step by step on how to do it , ( why not ask a trusted freind to do the Im , Just a Idea )
Okay, basically without creating an entirely new ID you can create “sub-profiles” or ID’s you can choose from when you want to still use your default ID. When you create and ID like this it’s just like a new account – you have a new profile, etc only Yahoo uses your old account information. I have no idea if I’m making sense so far… Anyways..to do this.. Log onto your Yahoo – Click Login, My Profiles, Create/Edit Profile, here you will see your default profile, but click on Create New Public Profile and create a new Yahoo name. Once completed, when you log into Yahoo and send a message you’ll notice on the IM that you have a choice of what ID you’re sending it from. Hence, if you really wanted to you could send your “default” ID a message from your alias.
