Twitter fans can now send tweets via Windows Live Messenger using a new service called TwitterMSN.
To use TwitterMSN, you first need a Twitter account, then you add [email protected] to your Windows Live Messenger contact list. Send the bot a message and it will begin the configuration process.
Note that using TwitterMSN, you will be asked to share your Twitter username and password, so if that makes you nervous, you will want to pass on this one.
When configuring TwitterMSN, you’ll actually also be setting up a TwitterMail account, which you can use to email tweets. Once the setup is done, any message you send to TwitterMSN is automatically published to your Twitter account. Messages that are longer than 120 characters are split up across multiple tweets. And tweets posted via TwitterMSN are labeled appropriately (from TwitterMSN).
If you use Windows Live Messenger and Twitter already, TwitterMSN provides a nice, single program solution.
Thanks to GenBeta for the heads up!
