I tried to edit my contact info in yahoo messenger. I went to the friends list, messenger , Edit my contact info and after I filled everything out and saved it .. this is the error I got
The address book operation you tried has failed due to a server error. Error Code – 15 …….. the one before that said error code 7.
Has anyone seen this before or know what to do to correct it ?
Thank you

July 21, 2004 at 7:21 pm #42377mattarnettMemberSame problem here, and no apparent solution out in the web world! What version of YahooIM are y’all using? I am using 6.0.0.1710, and didn’t have any contact management issues before I updated to this version.
I hate to say it, but I have found quite a few bugs in this release. Maybe Yahoo! ought to try a little more testing prior to releases.

July 22, 2004 at 1:10 am #42368UnSaKreDMemberi think I can fix it w/ a registry tweak.
Havent tried it, since I dont really add addreses but.
You are getting that error because some genius yahoo product developer, forgot to specify the server for addressbook.
So give this a try,
start->run->regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareYahooPagerAbook
Create a new string value ofaddressbook server
and put in http://addressbook.yahoo.com
(i am not 100% sure thats right, I dont have the specs here.)
July 22, 2004 at 6:08 am #42375EliteNickMemberI have a feeling not very many people will understand what you have just posted unfortunatly 🙂 lol.
July 22, 2004 at 6:41 am #42369UnSaKreDMemberlol most likely not, thats why when I get the specs, ill just make .reg script for them, or a small binary lol
July 22, 2004 at 2:11 pm #42365Jeff HesterKeymasteryes, unsakred.. Think I’ll wait for your .reg script. 🙂

Run reg script, you will still get the error but at least it adds it.

July 22, 2004 at 4:14 pm #42372UnSaKreDMemberlol, well its always been my motto,
