I couldn’t read if there was a question. The only thing I saw was how to do all of this.

You don’t have to do it, only people who want to (I think these suggestions are very helpful in fact). Also there doesn’t have to be a question… Giving suggestions to help people out are welcome, unlike your criticism which is just judging it for no reason when it can really help some people. 😉
May 16, 2006 at 3:58 am #144491DermotParticipantI posted this due to getting a few “Private Messages” asking me how they could better secure their Messengers without Y! tunnel or any other anti boot application layer gateway.
I told them i would “Post” so not only they could benefit from my response.
If you have not benefited from it then so be it, does not not change the fact it can be beneficial for others who are having boot related issues as that is what this topic was started about, not “Messenger Problems”.
These changes are mere options and as all settings go they are “optional”.
Happy Chatting 🙂

May 17, 2006 at 7:33 am #144493miGsMemberIndeed a great post. Its unfortunate Yahoo! have not totally addressed booting related problems with Messenger, and suggestions posted are indeed very effective for Messenger to be boot resistant. I myself can attest to that since I have been using some of those “remedies” since then.
