When I exit Yahoo Messenger, I get an error message:
The instruction at “0x01144ce4” referenced memory at “0x01160688”. The memory could not be “read”. Click on OK to terminate the program.
Clicking on OK shuts it down with no apparent problem, but this irritating.
Any solution?
What version of Yahoo! Messenger are you using?
Just updated to 9.0.0.2128. Had the problem with the previous version & updated in hope of solving it. No luck.
Okay, what version of Windows are you using?
XP SP2. Should I uninstall & reinstall?
I use Miranda usually, but a friend has Yahoo and a webcam, so i installed YM to see her.
What else are you running, like anti-virus and firewall software?
Avast Anti Virus, Windows Firewall, WinPatrol
Uninstalled, reinstalled. No change.
Try a clean uninstall make sure everything is removed.
1: Unintall.
2: Open regedit in Start > Run
Delete the following keys: warning: delete only these keys!
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareYahoo
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareYahoo
Try installing the messenger again. if that doesn’t fix the problom just try installing it in another drive [Flash drive etc etc]
Problem apparently solved by new release!
Excellent! Glad to hear it! 🙂
