In the preferences of the new yahoo messenger, you can activate the archiving or log of IM messages, alerts, conferences,…but it looks like only the archive or the log for the messages works fine. Because, I like to leave my account open since i’m very much out of my desk, but would like to be able to see who in my contact list got connected, even if the person did not send a message to me. Same option is available in MSN messenger via an add on. Can you please tell if such add on exists for yahoo, or I can activate it in my yahoo preferences? Because normaly it should work, since a sign on alert is also an alert, but yahoo does not keep a track of this, although you can activate it in the preferences. Thank you for any idea. This is very important for me, I use it as an answering machine!!!:D

Shifter where are you??? I need help on this issue please!!!!June 22, 2004 at 4:40 pm #43261shifterMemberCalm down comewithme. I am only a humble moderator here in Yahoo!, and although I’ve learnt a great deal, I’m not the leading authority on all things Yahoo. Thats the great thing about a forum, there a many knowledgeable members to help you. Some may know your answer and others may not. One thing you do need however is patience. Answers aren’t always given within a few minutes. Many members only check in once every few days and then answer what they know.
Anyway, as for your question, I haven’t come across an add-on that will keep track of the sign-in/out times of your contacts. This has come up a few times before and after a quick search of the forums I have these two topics for your answer:
