Hello Everyone, This just started happening since I installed verizon DSL!
When I sign on to Yahoo Messenger a screen comes up and says “Yahoo Messenger has encountered a problem and had to close & was restarted in Safe Mode and then something about plug ins.
Any one know how to correct this?October 2, 2006 at 1:50 am #152927DermotParticipantThe plugin safe mode message happens after an abnormal closure of messenger and is standard on 8.0 builds.
What connection settings do you have set in messenger >> preferences >> connection?
Do you have the latest build of messenger?
October 2, 2006 at 10:51 pm #152925tomsbbbMemberThe connection is set at “No Proxies” thats what I always had it set on when I had Dial up. Is it suppose to be changed for DSL?
Also, I have the latest build 8.0, Thanks, TomOctober 2, 2006 at 11:05 pm #152928imported_Ven0mMemberI don’t think your problem has anything to do with the connection per say, but you should try a complete uninstall of Yahoo Messenger and download the latest version from the pinned thread in this section.
