O.K. fellow Skype-ers… here’s a problem that’s got me stumped.
I have Skype installed in three locations, my desktop PC at home, my laptop which I carry back-and-forth between the office and home, and on my iPAQ. For some reason, I have one contact that keeps changing to “awaiting authorization” status. She is very patient about reauthorizing me every time I ask, but it’s frustrating, to say the least.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Better yet, has anyone SOLVED it?

Could it be that the authorization is only stored locally and when you sign in to different devices it has different authorization codes? Do you think the problem could be on her end? Perhaps something wrong with her PC or network? Just throwing out some ideas 🙂
June 18, 2005 at 5:02 pm #124355Jeff HesterKeymasterYeah, we’re using the same version of Skype. It works fine except for occassionally “forgetting” that I was authorized by her. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that I’ve been running two different versions (Windows XP and Windows Mobile) in three different locations.
