I got a message from skype this morning saying I needed an upgrade.
So I did what I was told and updated it. Now I cannot log in at all, just stays on connecting. So to un-installed it and put it back on. No difference :crying:
I love my skype sniff! Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance 😉

May 21, 2006 at 4:07 pm #144977MrEggsaladParticipantYeah, like remember the first time we tried to record the podcast and my Skype just died? Same thing happened. Well, it went to connecting then back to sign in, finally I think I just ended up making sure I could still sign in through the site, then I restarted my computer, and Skype worked. Also, Kudo’s suggestion would work. Could be a bug for you in 2.5 assuming that is what you upgraded to.
November 8, 2006 at 9:12 am #144979sally.brown1MemberThis also happened to me yesterday after i updated my Skype and i have no idea how to fix it. I have reinstalled skype, turned off all my firewall options and still no joy! It says i cannot connect and that i could be behind a firewall. How would i return to the version of skype i was using yesterday?
Any ideas would be very much appreciated,
Sally.

On my workplace i use soft from SurfNoLimit: ByPass proxy and firewall : Yahoo, Msn Messenger, Skype with sound and webcam anywhere. website to use skype and yahoo with video
November 17, 2006 at 2:44 pm #144978Eagle_KiwiMemberPersonally I wouldn’t go near SurfNoLimit !
I see that’s the only subject liloulapuce ever posts about, and a couple of months back there was some other person came in to bigblueball flooding the place with “posts” (others would simply say “adverts” 😉 ) for that site.I will wait till someone I know and trust recommends it, from personal experience. There are far too many dodgy sites and dodgy promoters out there
As for Skype versions, you can get any one you want here.
