I’m connected to a linksys router, and whenever I try to send someone something, it sends at like 10kb/sec. Very frustration. I even go try on the computer that my computer is directly connected to the modem to. And it still goes same speed, but whenever someone sends me something it goes at the regular 40kb/sec speed. Does anyone know what my problem is?
That would depend on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Upload speeds provided by ISP’s are always considerably slower than download speeds (so don’t expect your computer to send files as fast as its recieving them). You might have a slow upload speed, where as your friends have a fast one. Thus, your computer can only send at 10kbps, where theirs can send at 40kbps. You may or may not have taken this into consideration already, but I couldn’t tell so I just thought I would point this out.
