Very interesting story…but I have a question, are you on diet?
b0mber, are you talking to me? if so, I just have to say I appreciate the taste of diet soda. most of them taste like the original…so, why drink the original when it has so much carbs, sugar, ect? you can get the same taste (with none of that junk) in diet!
i have to say that I was so inspired by this thread…i was at wal-mart last nite and I saw that oh so tasty A&W vanilla cream soda…so I got a bottle! ahh, some things can be so tasty after a while! (BTW, that isn’t diet)
December 7, 2004 at 7:03 pm #78880BuckeyeGirl75MemberDiet Coke or Diet Code Red Mt. Dew are my faves but I also like Diet Sierra Mist and Diet Dr. Pepper. I grew up drinking diet pop at my grandparents because my grandfather was a diabetic. Other than at my grandparents we didn’t drink much pop. When I met my husband he was a Pepsi-holic so I started drinking regular pop. Then about 4 years ago I started drinking only diet. Now regular pop is way to sweet. The pop I miss the most is TAB. I can find it every once in awhile and I buy a couple of 12 packs when I find it. Any one else remember TAB? BTW…I’m from Ohio so that’s why I call it pop. I think we are one of the few states that call it that.

I guess you guys can tell what I went for. Usually I don’t drink all that much soda. For one, it costs too much and for two, having too much soda can upset the calcium/phosphorus level in your body and can contribute to broken bones and osteoporosis (the progressive loss of bone density and thinning of bone tissue). Of course, this is only in the cases where a person drinks 3-5 cans of soda a day and all that, but I still limit myself. Lots of water *nod nod* since milk is kinda spendy too and water…well… *turns on the tap* …see?December 8, 2004 at 1:22 am #78873AwesomeSauceParticipantQuote:quote:Originally posted by BuckeyeGirl75BTW…I’m from Ohio so that’s why I call it pop. People here in Utah call it that too, but me and my friends get into arguements about whether it’s pop or soda… I usually call it soda these days.
December 8, 2004 at 1:27 am #78870RabidKittenParticipantYeah minnesotans call it pop…I call it soda and I was born/raised here. I keep saying “pop is a sound…” and people just keep going at it *sigh*.

Way, by far the best ;)… haha
did you ever see the show on nickelodeon called “kenan and kel?” you remind me of kel, as he loved orange soda so much.
*imitates kel* “who loves orange soda? I do, I do, I doooooo!”
hehe

December 8, 2004 at 6:11 am #78879LucifinaMemberok I know you aren’t going by brand names but you can’t beat a barq’s root beer in a glass bottle…yes that does make a difference.
December 10, 2004 at 4:12 am #78891cuteb0mberchickMemberguess what you guys? I drank cream coke and its was really good!!!
December 10, 2004 at 4:21 am #78874colinMemberSad to say, I had to put “other”. I gave up sodas like 4 or 5 months ago, and haven’t had one since. I used to drink about 64+ ounces a day, but it got me way outta shape, so I just said “No more Dr. Pepper!” Anyways, now I like applejuice, orangejuice, milk, and water alot.
December 10, 2004 at 5:19 am #78867AnonymousParticipantDiet Rite is about all I drink. It has no sugar, aspartame, or sacchrin, Sodium or anything else bad for you. It is made with splenda, and has many flavours.

Was it A&W or some other brand?

Funny you mention that. I went to RaceTrac last night, and they must have just got that thing in. I have never heard of it til now. If it is not really considered “Soda”, then I should try it sometime.
