now before I start my explanation let me just say this…. I’ve done everythign the people in the old threads said about opening up the 5190 port for AIM. So can someone suggest a new solution. Oh and I’ve reinstalled AIM several times.
now on to the explanation…
Well around a month ago my AIM statted being slow. I didn’t make mutch notice of it but then it would show me as signing off but my buddy list would still be on. Fixing the routher issues and reinstalling AIM would help for a time but the problem has returned today in full force. Basically its like this: I sign on to AIM and ofr abotu a minute evetything is 100% normal then after that I get “please wait” when looking in profiles and my messages won’t send? so can someone help me out??
does it freeze up before it sends then it sends? if so this used to be a big problem with an aim 5.5 version not sure which and im not sure how to fix it but my suggest would be if you are using 5.5 change to a different 5.5 version or upgrade to 5.9 even with how cluttered it is, or if you’re 5.9 try going down to 5.5
