MemberHi to all!
I need your help with a Yahoo Messenger problem. Almost every time I restart my computer, I discover that something or someone has deleted all my contacts (buddy list) on Messenger. I tried reinstalling Messenger, but it keeps happening. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Please help!!!

KeymasterThe only way I know of that someone could be doing this is by logging into your account. Have you changed your password?

MemberThis happened to me once on my messenger at work. I think it was a firewall issue. I would try checking your messenger from another computer if that’s possible.

MemberI don’t think your friends list would get mysteriously deleted, you might of minimized your friends list, theres an arrow on your messenger, if you click on it, it minimizes that group, and you can’t see it. Someone had a problem like this b4, but i can’t remember if they ever posted again, i’ve used a lot of different ids on messenger and none of my friends lists have ever vanished.

MemberActually Johnson, it was ME that asked the question originally, message no. 3951. It was the weirdest thing, on only ONE id at work this happened and it didn’t happen at home so it had to be a firewall issue. 😉

MemberActually, in my case, the issue never got resolved. BUT, it was only on one id. It was also a corporate firewall so I couldn’t mess with the settings much. You might try another id and see if it happens there. I’m sure someone here is much more knowledgeable about how to fix than me. Good luck!
