Sony has introduced a new handheld communicator called “Mylo.” This new WiFi device is described by Sony as “all play and no work.” It’s about the same size as a Sony PSP, but has a sliding screen that reveals a full QWERTY keyboard.
Mylo is designed with the IM fanatic in mind. It comes preinstalled with Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and Skype, and supports instant messages as well as voice chat. The device uses WiFi for connectivity, so it most likely won’t replace your mobile phone, but for those with ready-access to free WiFi, Mylo provides a pretty nice alternative.
Mylo also supports MPEG4 video and MP3 and WMA audio. It’s got a 320×240 pixel screen — about the size of most webcam images. Battery life rangesl from 7 to 45 hours depending on use. It features 1 GB of built-in memory which can be expanded using the memory stick duo.
Although primarily designed for instant messaging and voice chat, Mylo also has a built-in web browser for surfing the net.
Mylo is scheduled to ship this September for about $350.

Plus, it seems like this Mylo thing should support AIM & MSN as well, because all of my real life friends use AIM, and so called IM fanatics would probably expect this thing to support almost all instant messengers.
