sounds and alerts problem

hi i have just signed in on msn messenger and all my sounds have changed and are windows messenger sounds instead of msn messenger sounds and alerts i have uninstalled msn messenger and re-installed it but it still is playing windows messenger sounds and alerts does anyone know how to fix this ? thanks

Welcome to BigBlueBall toddsavage.

Try this, go to the control panel > Sounds and Audio Devices, and make sure that the MSN Messenger sounds are on.
