What’s the diff between Orignal Soundtrack and Original Motion Picture Score Soundtrack?
btw… does OST stand for Original Soundtrack?

The Score is the music in its written form ie, sheet musicFebruary 22, 2004 at 9:01 pm #49410plastidcellsMemberi wasn’t referring to score as in sheet music
well i was looking at the forrest gump soundtrack… and there were two different kinds
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=music&field-keywords=forrest%20gump&search-type=ss&bq=1&store-name=music/ref=xs_ap_l_xgl15/002-1529752-8168838
that link is to help clarifyThe cds there are
Forrest Gump [Soundtrack] — Original Soundtrack Audio CD
Forrest Gump: Original Motion Picture Score [Soundtrack] — Various Artists – SoundtracksThey both are audio cds…
and from other “Original Soundtrack” cds that i have, the songs on there aren’t necessarily straight from the movie (although it is possible that a few are but the rest aren’t)
Dr Kimble.. that doens’t fully answer my question but thanks for responding

From those Forrest Gump cds specifically it looks like the sountrack has songs that were written but not specifically for the movie ie ‘turn turn’ ‘California Dreamin’ etc (the movie used them, but they were not originally written for that movie), the score is all songs composed and written just for the movie. However, this is not always true. So that’s about all the help I can give 😉February 23, 2004 at 3:26 am #49409plastidcellsMembermmkay… that helps
i was thinking somewhere along the lines of what u said but i wasn’t sure
