Does this thread fall into the spam catagory? I reckon it does, as although its related to Instant Messaging, it has no purpose other than to advertise. I realise I haven’t got the necessary permissions to do anything about it if it is spam, but I thought i’d bring it to the attention of those who have, seeing as it appears to have been overlooked.
The first link looks ok, has the emoticons, but the second link brings up a site that doesn’t seem to have much to do with msn. I saw two downloads for msn messenger itself, but no links for emoticons/display pics as the post states.
Those sites look mighty fishy. The inbox size increaser for one does nothing more than subscribe you to a mailing list. Who knows where your email goes after that.
It’s an advertisement at the very least, and that is against our rules. Same with his other post. I’ve removed them both, and I’ll send him a warning. If he does it again, let me know.

I made my decisions based on BBB policies. From what I’ve gathered, advertising or linking is not only ok, but encouraged.
There’s a fine line between blatant advertising and sharing your stuff. Usually its a judgement call. I find pHr0sTbYt3’s display pics are just fine, though he does need to keep them confined to one topic. On the other hand, mianriz’s posts were suspicious attempts to simply get hits on those websites, and did not actually contribute any real help to the topics he replied to. As I said, it’s a judgement call. We invited you all to our Forum team because we feel you all can make them reasonably. And I trust you all will as you’ve shown thus far. 🙂
So, now that one’s resolved 🙂
Although i’m a Mentor, and actually have no moderation rights, it is still alright to report any suspect posts to either the team leader, or create a thread about them here, if they appear to have been overlooked.
I ask only because i’m not able to move topics to the Review Requested area.

Martin, it’s not my call, but taking into account even users can report posts to moderators using the ‘Report Bad Post’ button, I don’t see why you shouldn’t be able to report posts here. 😉
