Is anyone else getting deluged with email spam? Is there an email virus going around or something?
The text varies, but they all contain an attachment (which of course I would NEVER click).
Here’s a sample:

subject hello
The resume document is attached.

I’ve had well over a hundred of these in the past 24 hours, and I’ve flagged them as spam. I guess what I want to know is whether there is something going around or if I’m the only lucky one. 🙂
Is anyone else getting these emails?
I’m not getting any more than usual at home but at work I average 75-100 a day that our spam filter catches.

No, this isn’t the usual spam. It’s a strange uptick and Gmail’s normally good spam detection is not catching most of it. Weird. Guess I’m just the lucky one! 🙂
Well, I just checked out my own Gmail account, which I never use — and I don’t have any email spam of which you are talking about. I did however notice I have unread emails dating all the way back to 2005 😛 I guess I should check up on it a little more
I’ve got these too – I opened the attachment (on an iDevice anyway), and the text is even more confusing, since its legit Amazon links… probably embedded Java, ActiveX or something… strange.
Legit Amazon links? Do they embed an affiliate code at least? If not, this may be the work of the stupidest spammer ever!
