Has anyone seen Spider-Man 3? What did you think of it compared to the first two movies? The first two movies received high review scores but this one seems to be a mixed bag.
I think the duration was a bit too much but overall I liked it. It had LOTS of action and fight scenes, spectacular visual effects as always, and a good story.. Maybe a bit too dramatic in the end but still good.
I think I’d choose the second as my favourite.
I saw it. I’ll agree it was a bit long! I will say though, it has been my favorite of all of them, except the whole “gothic Peter” thing…
Oh come on…gothic peter was the best part! I kept giggling to the person I went with and saying “Sooooooo EMO!”
He reminded me of the son from wedding crashers.
But come on, he was so much more fun all emoesque. Did you see those moves? Seriously.
But I did feel like the story was a bit too scattered. It almost felt like there were too many plots going on during some points. And the Harry thing kinda gave me star wars/vader flashbacks for some reason.
But I’m easy to please and simply thought the movie kicked butt.
SPIDERMAN 3: THE INNER EMOMy friends who’ve seen this movie have mentioned the emo and dancing parts (whatever that is) and how lame those were. I haven’t seen Spiderman 3 yet, but I kind of want to. What are your thoughts on the whole thing?
It was kind of scatterd all around the place, and the emo thing kinda threw me a little bit there (alien goo? emo? come on…), and then there’s “The biggest batthe is the one fought within yourself… Oh, and then there’s that ten-story giant sand thing, too. ;)” A lot of elements are in place and it’s a lot to fit into one installment.
The plot was a bit cluttered since they took the storylines of completely different characters from the comic and put them together into a unified storyline. Usually only a few characters are introduced and focused on within a movie. But since they introduced several, they had to make sure it all fit together. So, it wasn’t exactly the same as the comic but I still thought the movie was good overall.
The emo Peter thing was a bit weird but entertaining (especially that one scene). A couple of fight scenes also occurred during this part of the movie. I guess this is how they decided to emphasize the fact that the alien symbiote had affected Peter/Spider-Man.
I saw it a couple weeks ago, and I can say it was worth it to see Venom. Now, the emo stuff was funny, but the dancing stuff was kinda stupid.
Then again, if you had an alien symbiote attached to you that made you feel good, you’d probably want to dance too. 😛
I really hope in the next movie Venom comes back with possibly Carnage. That’d be awesome. 😀
