Hi, not sure where to post this question. Iam wondering if anybody knows what Dialer Helper and TextBridge Pro are. Is it some kind of spyware or do i need these? I have spybot search and destroy and a antivirus and they dont detect these programs. just wondering what they are for..Thanks
TextBridge Pro looks legit, it seems to be a sort of scanner software. as for “Dialer Helper” – i couldnt find anything specifically about one program… seems dialer helpers are fairly common (although I wouldnt go so far as to say OK just yet). it would help if you knew the .exe that this “dialer helper” was running from. where did you see these programs listed as running? The task manager? somewhere else?
I have System Mechanic and i was looking under the uninstall software. Behind The Dialer Helper is says: RunDll32 C:Programs~1Common……then InstallShield Installation Information..then just numbers.
If I’m not mistaken, I believe Dialer Helper(s)[Different ones] come with some Dial-Up compainies. It’s no more than a tool to help aid your computer get to the internet faster. How do I know? Well when I was just at a person’s home with dial-up I saw something that looked just like Dialer Helper or something. Now if it was something like “(some word) dialer” than that would be spyware that does some internet thing to slow your computer down. So I think you’re ok.
