I was checking the staff stats, and had a couple of observations:
- Two staffers haven’t posted anything in the past 30 days: Stigmata and DrBroccoli. Speak up now or it’s time to retire.
- I was pleased to see that nearly everyone else had double-digit post counts.
Why the emphasis on post counts? Well, the site doesn’t require much moderation per se. What we really need is new topics, news, and comments. We need to get the discussion going, and keep it going. We need to shake it up a bit, even if that means being contrary, controversial or challenging. And I really, REALLY want to beat the pants off the coverage of iMessengr.com.
Kudos to our top staff posters: Philip (84), patndoris (66), sarahtowny (49), Ven0m (43), PolarBearNPR (41) and Jeff (39). Let’s see how many of you can beat MY 30-day post count in MAY! 😉

Yay that’s right we need a good shake up. Mmh now to think of a good topic to get the masses rattled a wee bit 😉

I think that if a staff member is going to be AWOL for whatever reasons, they should inform the rest of us (just like what Nessa did a while ago, and I for one, appreciated that).
Just remaining quiet and not informing any of the staff (either through a post, PM, email, IM, whatever) isn’t right.
Philip, that has been the general rule. It’s been stated before in the staff room, although we don’t have a list of “moderator rules” so those of us with foggy memories might “forget.” But it seems like a common courtesy.
Death to Smoochie is funny as hell. But what’s controversial about it? :p
Hmmm I’ll work on posting more I guess.
I have been active though, visiting oftern, don’t take that away from me 😛

Whooo! I did something right! 😛 And yeah, I won’t lie, I thought about retiring due to my inactiveness and lack of posting but I’m actually trying to pick that up again. With full-time working and actually going back to school at night it’s getting pretty busy as well as making time to go out, but I still visit BBB daily. My next goal is upping my post count without spamming!
