I thought I’d mentioned this months ago, but can’t find any detail, so…..
THIS particular page shows – down at the very bottom – Toebee and MiamiGuy still in the YM team.I don’t think that’s correct (though there seem to be so many “staff lists” floating around that I’m never really sure WHICH is “current”! 🙁 )
July 12, 2006 at 12:52 pm #147930TigerbladeParticipantagreed…. we need a single, cohesive, recently-updated staff list, clearly sorted by who does what where. i believe this is one of the things on the staff’s to-do list, we just haven’t gotten around to completely finishing that off yet.
July 12, 2006 at 7:08 pm #147931RabidKittenParticipantYes, we’ve had this discussion before *rubs her head* but it is rather hard to keep an up to date staff list, as we’ve seen.
As for the link you posted, Ian, those are the groups that Jeff has all the members organized into. Notice that it has the “fans” as well. Ant and Toby are still listed because while their permissions have been deactivated (as seen since they’re no longer listed on the “Moderators” section), they are still in the invisible “group” for the Y team.
But yes, we’ve been having deliberations recently and have drawn up a new plan of attack for the ball, and the staff list was mentioned. It will all get done in due time. *wink* I assure you.
And maybe we’ll even get a link somewhere as well for the staff *laughs* Who knows.
July 14, 2006 at 2:34 am #147932SpikeMemberActually, Ian, rest assured. Awhile ago (if you may recall), Ryan and I worked on a staff roster that is now in Jeff’s hands. With the site makeover, hopefully we will see this page published soon!
July 30, 2006 at 9:57 am #147935Eagle_KiwiMemberSoon ?
Wellll, as that was over 2 weeks ago, might I suggest that rather than leaving WRONG info up there, why not simply DELETE that section (if for some technical reason it’s hard to make it “correct”).And byn the way Sami, I refer to the YM TEAM section there – I realise the FANS section is quite a different kettle of fish – no problem with it.
Am I the only one who cares if info on public display happens to be RIGHT or not ? 🙁

And as I hope to see it soon too, it’s just many people are quite busy. Like Spike said, hopefully we will see this page soon, don’t think that none of the staff cares, because we do. However we also have a lot of other work here, we can only do so much so fast.
July 30, 2006 at 3:12 pm #147936PolarBearNPRParticipantActually, in a re-do, aka site makeover, would it make more sense to have those team leaders, advisors, etc. listed on the actual forum? Then when folks saw them posting, they might really take notice since an official staff person had responded. Might add credibility, or something.
This is how my ivillage board was set up and it seemed to work well. Folks had someone in-the-know if they had questions or suggestions that were beyond the usual chit-chat of the board, and could contact us away from the board if need be.

I don’t understand your first part of the suggestion, could you rephrase?July 30, 2006 at 3:35 pm #147937PolarBearNPRParticipantSure – actually let me show you what I mean here you can see a section called “About this Community” and below that a note that the community leader is cl-inyoureyz (which isn’t me, btw). She is the volunteer staff person that is responsible to keep the board running smoothly. She will do reports monthly on all sorts of things including how many posts, new members, folks who might want to be CL, good posts, bad posts, etc. She is also the liason with the folks who run the site, passing along information of an official nature with a friendlier, more familiar “face.” And you can see that her name is clickable to see who she is, and how to contact her should you have questions, concerns, or anything.
Does that help?
July 30, 2006 at 5:17 pm #147928Jeff HesterKeymasterEagle_Kiwi — that page has been updated. Thanks for the nudge.
PolarBearNPR — Great suggestion. I’ll add that to my list. 😉
