ParticipantAnyone that knows me, knows I’m one of the biggest Star Wars geek chicks you’ll come across in a long time (don’t mess with me).
So I beg to ask you folks now, what’s your favorite Star Wars movie?

MemberI thought Return of the Jedi was the best with The empire strikes back a close second.
The new films completely destroyed the series though. Just thinking about them makes me want to kill…

MemberReturn of the Jedi, The Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope in that order
You will notice the other two are not in this list, this is because they dissapointed me so much I cried, then went on a Penguin killing rampage through a Zoo. George Lucas should be slapped for making them, only a blonde female would have made a bigger balls up of them.
P.S. if your such a big Star Wars fan you should watch this it’s about 15 minutes long but well worth it http://gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyondergames/trailers/ROFL.STARWARS.NERDS.wmv

anyway… i’m gonna have to go with the original, the first, the one and only ANH… it started an entirely new genre, gotta give it due credit

MemberEV… the Empire Strikes Back. Don’t know why really, just seems to have the nicest storyline.

MemberProbably the empire strikes back, as it is one of films where evil is ‘on top’ at the end.

MemberEmpire Strikes Back all the way!!! And Det, I cannot believe you haven’t atleast saw one Star Wars movie…I thought that was a requirement for all childhoods. If you haven’t, you should….Star Wars was almost a movie genre by itself and it definitely set the standard for sci-fi movies….

ParticipantReturn of the Jedi is my favorite…I love the eewoks!
And Han finally gets his girl 😎The new ones were a a dissapointment to me, compter effects still don’t match the original use of models.

MemberEewoks rock, they are just soo cool. It’s amazing the way they can kick anyones arse with just a bunch of rocks and a few logs.

MemberI still prefer Episode 4: A New Hope. I saw it about six times in the theaters when it first came out. The storyline allows it to stand alone very well, with a satisfying conclusion that doesn’t leave you wondering “was that it?”
Of course the concept of a “dirty” future was also very new. Most sci-fi movies up to then portrayed a dust-and-dirt free laboratory-like environment — very sterile. The Star Wars galaxy was very organic. Watching E4 was an experience; afterwards you were compelled to tell all your friends “you HAVE to see this movie.”
E5 & E6 were also good, although the introduction of cute (and marketable) creates like Ewoks was distracting.
E1 & E2 were disappointing. There are decent, but not great movies.

MemberThe new Star Wars ones just stink…they just made all the graphics cool and expect them to be good movies. They dont even get me caught up into the excitement and emotions as the old ones.
George Lucas doesn’t know the formula for good movies anymore. Episode 3 is a guaranteed disapointment for all us Star Wars fans.

MemberI’m wondering how you can say this, as Episode III is far from released yet.

ParticipantQuote:quote:I’m wondering how you can say this, as Episode III is far from released yet.Exactly why it’s not a poll option… but FINE if you must; “What’s your favorite Star Wars movie SO FAR” 😉
And I wouldn’t say FAR from released… only 12 more months! (May 9, 2005)
