? Perhaps I don’t quite understand the question ?
If you choose in Preferences to have it automatically start when you start your computer, it will start minimised, won’t it ?
Alternatively I thought of changing Proprties in your Shortcut, to Run: Minimized. BUT, I just tried that and it doesn’t seem to work – YM just opens up as usual. Is this just me… or… can anyone else say why this should happen ?
Perhaps Yahoo in typical infinite wisdom have overridden that option ?I know msn offer the option to do this tony however yahoo only offer you it to incoming pm’s not to the main buddy form.

I have checked into what your asking and found nothing that will start Ym minimized in the tray. What might be something helpful is You can right click your desktop icon holding the button down and drag your icon to your taskbar which I think would serve the same purpose but make sure you set your messenger to not auto start when you start your computer. good luck
