Hi,
My status is always “I am available” even if I disconnect and logged out from messenger . I tried rebooting , uninstall and install also.
Please help me

loopbackhmm…well i think u dont get sing out COMPLETLY….whenever u wanna get log out …do disconet and then sign out and close….
and be sure about ur cookies….aren`t u sign in ur mail ?..do it and reply me….Nope!!! No Luck. I tried all permutaions and combinations .
Any new ideas ? Please
I think its the problem with yahoo server bcos host doesnt keep track of our status isnt it ?
Is there any means to notify the server about our status?

loopbackwell this is a common prob with Y! mess!!! but ur problem is strange as this problem solves itself if u logout, shutdown and then login again!!! This had happened to one of my frnds but the next time she logged on in Invisible mode, she was really invisible!!! I think u have some prob in conn! try using some diff ID’s , maybe it will check where the actual prob is!!!
Suzy, you behind a firewall? If so, try changing your firewall settings. I have a firewall at work and I can’t go invisible at all!
Also, if you have yahoo 5.6 version of messenger installed, try reverting back to yahoo 5.5 version and connect with no proxies.

How are you connecting to messenger? Default connection? How about when you change your status, do your friends see the new status?
Hi. I hope you are all healthy and well.
I have this problem of ‘I Am Available’ always being on in Yahoo! Instant Messenger (YIM). I read somewhere that it’s because you are still signed in to another Yahoo! service, like photos or games or whatever. Sign out and you should be okay; this hasn’t worked for me yet, though, so if it’s worked for you would you please post and say how.

Hope it helps you…my mates yahoo says she’s always online as well. We have both tried all these suggestions and nothing works. It’s frustrating cos I can’t send her offline messages.
