Is there a way in MSN (windows) Messenger to show “appear Offline” to certain contacts and yet be “online” or “away” to others in your contact list

That’s the definition of blocking that you just said, you can just block the ones u dont want to see u as online at that moment, and later unblock them.
What would be the difference?..

I think he might be referring to the option that you have on Yahoo Messenger under stealth settings where you can appear offline to certain individuals without actually blocking them. To my knowledge, that’s not possible with MSN yet.

What princeG suggested is pretty much the same what yahoo does.The feature just have a different name 😀
