MemberHi,
Is there a way to find the status of other users if they are online WITHOUT actually logging into msn messenger. I dont want to login and get bombarded by people I dont want to chat with and dont want to block them also. Confused you bet I am!
Any help is greatly appreciated..
Thanks,
Saurabh

MemberI wouldn’t take that route if I were you… then you would have to register all your friends… Anyone know of a possible way?

MemberIf you don’t want the other users to see that you’re on, just log on and right when you do change your current setting to “offline”. Anyways, why would you wanna do that anyway?

MemberPrincess,
I am one of the ‘fools’ still belonging to the old school I guess! I dont want to use invisible mode or ignore people on my buddy list. Guess I need to change my cyber ethics. Anyway if I login and change the mode to offline as soon as I login I get the messages and like I said I cant ignore them as a matter of nature….
Thanks for the help guys..Still looking for other suggestions..

Memberi’ve said before and i find it useful…with trillian, you can save the status that you last had when you logged off….so if you make sure that you appear offline before closing trillian, the next time you log in, you’ll be appearing offline from the start…none of your contacts will even know you logged in!! so you can view your emails without the guilt or worries!! but you may not want to start using a whole new program for that small problem!

ParticipantYeah I’d say go with Phil’s suggestion.
I use Trillian all the time n’ I too sometimes want to log-in but don’t want to bother with brushing people off, so like Phil mentioned – I always make sure my status is Appearing Offline before I actually log off. For more info you can visit Trillian’s Website or our Trillian Forums. 🙂 -
