I use msn on my computer at work and at home. I would like to be able to save my chat conversations on a usb drive so that I can continue conversations at home or during the weekend. Is this possible?
I have been using msn messenger for quite some time now and never realized that while adding people to my contact list I was also adding them to some profile or network. I don’t want them collected like that. I don’t want anyone in my network or profile but still want them in my hotmail addressbook. Is this possible?
As to the first question regarding storing to USB. You can go to Tools / Options / Messages check the box to automatically save a your conversation history and then you can specify the location. You can specify an external USB drive with no problem. Just remember it will need to be plugged in to either computer when you chat.
As to your second question, if you go to your Windows Live Profile online, you can edit the information and set your permissions for who can see what. If you don’t want people on your network, watch the check boxes on the invitations you send and receive. You can add contacts and not have them on your network.
