Hello,
I own a paving business and it is quite hard for me to keep track of many phone numbers and driveway measurements. Is there any software that will allow me to type in names, numbers etc.. and have it sorted in alphabtical order? Also i would like to be able to add more columns in the table so that way i can add extra information.
Thanks,
Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Access?
I will try those…
Thanks
Microsoft Access is obviously tailored specifically for databases, whilst Excel is more orientated towards spreadsheets. In Excel, you can hold simple databases, however if you’re wanting to create a more advanced (possibly relational) database, then you’d need Access.
Access also allows you to perform more complex queries, or searches. The larger your database, the better off you are with Access, in my opinion.
I can’t remember the name, but I can remember how it looked and that I first saw it on betanews. It’s a very in-depth manager/scheduler, but I can’t remember all the features, and am not sure if it would be appropriate for what you’re wanting. I’ll be sure to post once I think of it.
Ok, thanks!

I’m not sure if it’s what you’re looking for, but I used it when it was freeware for a little while. It was too robust for me, so I got rid of it, but that might be what you’re wanting. Just a thought 🙂
