Does anyone know about the company called “Sun Ray Trading”? I have gotten about a dozen of letters in the mail from them, and I ussually just throw them away, because it looks like a hoax. Thosands of dollars a month? Is it like stuffing envelopes? Is it even legite?
*snickers a little* Oats…if you’re still getting them…here’s a little bit of info for you, pally. Keep throwing them away.
“The FTC is now suing three people who allegedly operated under the names SR and Sun Ray Trading Inc., accusing them of using the envelope-stuffing offer to steal at least $1.4 million. Defendants Rolando Galvez-Garcia, Kostadin Osvaldo Marte Tavarez and Anneelises Flores Adino lived or worked in South Florida”
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-sbspammain08may08,0,7702631.story?coll=sfla-home-headlinesApparently they’re in big poo for it also:
“CIVIL ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS FILED BY THE FTC: Sun Ray Trading and related parties, based in Sunrise, Fla., offered an envelope-stuffing employment opportunity through unsolicited e-mail (spam) and Internet Web sites. The spam allegedly contained subject headings with deceptive claims of employment and/or substantial potential income, such as “Homeworkers Needed Today. Earn 550 dollars or More.” Consumers were told that, after paying a registration fee ranging from $65 to $160, they would receive a package of supplies that would enable them to earn $10 for each envelope stuffed and mailed for a potential weekly income of $550 to $3,000.” http://www.spokane.bbb.org/alerts/alerts.html?newsid=595&newstype=1
