I lived in Indianapolis (Naptown) for 11 years, so I’m cheering for the Colts. Besides, Peyton Manning has been consistently awesome. I think his time has come.
Go Colts!
February 3, 2007 at 4:20 pm #157731Soccer4dummysMemberI have a friend that is from Indianapolis. I couldn’t really care less… so… Go Colts!
February 3, 2007 at 5:17 pm #157729PolarBearNPRParticipantI’ll be rooting for the Colts – they’re fairly close to me . . . in the heartland of the US. Plus Tony Dungy’s loss of his son earlier this year . . . this would be a good thing for him personally (as well as professionally). Also, da bears are just too cocky for me. Maybe it’s a hold over from the past, but when they have criminals (Tank Johnson) getting special permssion to travel for this “game” even when he broke his parole . . . well, that just strikes me as wrong. I guess there aren’t any real consequences for law breakers as long as they play good ball (think OJ Simpson). So for no real reason other than sentimental ones, I’ll be hoping the Colts open a can of whoop a$$ on the Bears.
February 3, 2007 at 5:45 pm #157732Soccer4dummysMemberbut the bears are closer to Polar Bears aren’t they PolarBearNPR?

And yes, although we are the same species, they are NOT family. They are all mean and nasty and we are cute and cuddly – unless of course you cross us, then all bets are off :p
February 3, 2007 at 6:19 pm #157722TigerbladeParticipantI honestly couldn’t care less. I think I’m actually going to avoid it this year… for the last few years I’ve actually taken the time to watch, if for nothing more than the commercials, but this year… meh.
like soccer4dummys said… i’ve got a friend who went to school in Indianapolis, so I know who she’s cheering for. may as well pick them.February 4, 2007 at 1:58 am #157725SpikeMemberWhy is the whole freaking world for the Colts except this really tiny radius around Chicago that absolutely loves the Bears? I’m ticked. On a better note, though,
๐ ๐ ๐ GO BEARS! ๐ ๐ ๐.
February 4, 2007 at 3:10 am #157723TigerbladeParticipantI can’t find who said it originally, but this quote has been getting major airtime on the radio lately:
Quote:Let’s just say that the winner shall be a certain team, from a certain Mid-western town, that starts with a “C”, ends with an “O”, and in the middle is “HICAG”.February 4, 2007 at 12:03 pm #157726gossipingraeMemberi stopped caring after the birds lost to the saints…again. it’s okay, there’s always next year!
speaking of commercials, i heard that there will be a commercial that will come on that a guy paid $2 million to propose to the woman he loves. what are the chances of this guy proposing to me? LOL! did anyone else hear about this?
February 4, 2007 at 6:09 pm #157721Jeff HesterKeymasterWhoops… the poll closed too soon. I’ve opened it back up for you Colts fans. ๐
February 4, 2007 at 7:41 pm #157727NessaParticipantI actually don’t watch football all that much, but i decided to take my pick on this poll last night when i was sleepy and extremely tired that i picked the wrong team! ๐ฎ My friend is going for the Colts so just to go against her i’m going for the Bears! ๐
So Go Bears!
*hides from all the Colt fans now*

Edit:
oooo I just had an idea! how about adding another choice to the poll…: GO COMMERCIALS!!!!! ๐February 5, 2007 at 2:55 am #157728NessaParticipantAnd the winner is:
The Indianapolis Colts!
Ha ha, guess i picked wrong.
Final score:
Colts – 29
