KeymasterIt’s hard to get excited about the teams this year, at least back here on the west coast. But the Super Bowl itself is an event that stands on it’s own. I would add one other idea… post your Super Bowl pool ideas. Pools can make it fun even if you don’t really care which team wins.

MemberWell….this one stems back to university….but you can make it NON-alcoholic or whatever. I had an idea to make jell-o shots (YES…I was even legal then!) with green jell-o. I made them in a long pan (ala foot ball field shaped) then made whipped cream sidelines and all the differentl lines on the field (as many as I could without it looking too crowded..used the spray cream). Then I used black licorice and prezels for the goal posts. It was fun…but I had to guess on the alcohol content and they were WAAAAAY too strong and the jell-o didn’t set right. I didn’t eat much. But the guys at the house I went to for the party ate it after hours and told me they didn’t remember a whole lot the next day. 🙂

MemberSpeaking of dips….you’ve jogged my memory. There’s a good one for tortillas I recall, simple and yummy.
Hormel Chili (1 can)(pick your tempurature and with or without meat)
Cream cheese(1 pakage) (I usually use the low fat one…every little thing counts)Throw them in a pot on the stove, stir as they are heat and melting. Once they are well mixed and you get this orange looking mass….it’s done. It tastes MUCH better than it looks!

Membermy roomie and i are throwing a super bowl party on sunday. since our apartment complex is all men (downstairs on the first level), we’ve invited them all over, along with some others.
my favorite part of super bowl food is definately wings! i love them! especially the hot ones…i love when they burn your tongue b/c they are so spicy! it’s classic!
don’t forget the beer! or, if you are underage, the soda…
