Hey,
Begining yesterday.. my System Configuration Utility wouldn’t work. I can’t access it. Yesterday when I tried to run msconfig I got an error message. Today when I try to run msconfig .. nothing happens… not even an error message. I can’t access it. I’m using Windows XP Home Edition. With service Pack 2. I haven’t changed anything on my comp. So I don’t know why it has all of a sudden started doing this.
Does anyone know what to do?
What did the error say?
I’ll attach msconfig.exe to this post, it’s extracted from a Windows XP Professional CD.
5.1.2600.0 (xpclient.010817-1148)
Try my msconfig.exe, and replace it with yours, see if that works.
You’ll need to extract and replace this in the folders:
C:WINDOWSServicePackFilesi386
C:WINDOWSPCHEALTHHELPCTRBinaries
If that doesn’t help, let me know.
Edit: Haha, Dave, great minds think alike! :p
Thanks Guys. I downloaded the first one. I can now access my System Config. Utility.
