Middle man dosen’t have the feature of tabbed IMs. The program ‘smilez’ has this ability and can be found here.

aimutation doesn’t work with the new version of AIM. xspeedyalpha21x wants an add-on which works with the new version and aimuttaion doesn’t yet.
who knows aimutation hasnt shown any real progress since that one guy left and it became free… even there new site is a step backwards cuz its just so damn ugly

who cares what it looks like its freaking slow!
the slowness is because it was featured on tech tv’s show the screen savers as the download of the day they said it was the best aim add on the existed hence a ton of people or visiting the site cause even thought it was the download of the day on wednesday its still in the favorites area so alot of people or hitting the site…give it time itll be back to its normal speed soon

You are wrong there. Aimutation has shown progress, except it is at the code-base. The code has been converted to C# meaning the next release will require the .NET Framework. That may not seem like progress to you, but to me it is major upgrade for the developers.
ok, slight variation on the original question: “is there a program that lets you have tabbed windows in the newest version of aim” and doesnt skin aim? if i’m gonna be forced to “upgrade” to the new versions, I want tabbed windows – problem is I prefer to ResHack my AIM, and most of these programs just skin AIM
so… any programs (other than DeadAIM, which i’m willing to pay the $5 for but i’ve heard the service isnt that great anymore) that will simply give me tabbed windows, not skin AIM? and no, i’m not looking for a replacement messenger, I already tried most of those and didnt care for them. (ie, dont say go with trillian or gaim or whatever)

Dude tigerblade. Is my post not clear? I posted a link to the program called smilez. It gives you 2 things. Tabbed IMs and all the AOL smilys. You dont have to enable the smilys, just the tabbed IMs. =
