KeymasterJust to play the devil’s advocate, why is it so wrong? Seems like it would be a great deterent and could potential thwart future crime.

Memberyea it might make a great deterent but would you honestly sit there and watch it. would you be able to sleep that night knowing that you just witness someone die? its not a scary movie that u can wake up from a bad dream and say oh that was all fake!! its inhuman, immoral, and just plan wrong!!

ParticipantThey are planning on showing the final moments before the execution. They aren’t actually showing the moment of death. Personally, I see nothing wrong with that at all. I’m not sure how effectual it may be on crime, but I guess it’s worth a try.

KeymasterI agree……
Maybe it will be a positive thing for people to see! So they will not get in that situation themselves!! I guess people are split 1/2 and 1/2 how they feel about this…..
On one hand, people think people have a right to privacy, one the other, they have commited a terrible crime and deserve the exposure…..I see nothing wrong with it either.

MemberTheres no way I can see this being a deterant at all. Unless it’s like advertising and if you see it, it may be on the back of your mind and it could stop you doing somthing ilegal. But then again druf adicts are so bewnt on getting more drugs I don’t think other people watching their last movements would really bother them at all. Bad idea.

If that’s the case, I see nothing wrong with it.I was initally under the impression that the execution itself was going to be shown, which in my opinion is wrong.
