yea, so whenever i try to sign on to AIM i get the error message “The AIM service can’t be reached.” i’m running windows xp, and i’m on a laptop computer with a wireless network, we also have a desktop running on the same network (also a wireless connection) and it can connect to aim with no problem. i’ve checked all the aim preference settings and they’re identical to this one and i can’t figure out what’s wrong. i can’t sign on to express or any other messenger clients either, could use some help, thanks

yea, its a linksys router
Try configuring AIM to use a proxy server, and then use the IP address of your router for the server address.
i have a linksys router and im pretty sure its messing up my aim. i used to have the problem where my aim would sign on and off over and over every few minutes. i fixed that problem by resetting the router everytime i sign online. but now my aim shus down right before i have been on for a day (usually around 22 or 23 hours). my aim just signs me off without warning, no error message or antying. any ideas?
i tried what jeff suggested, and i get “connection refused by proxy”
